A pentagonal parquet pattern with a continuous rhythm

Zeugma is built around a repeating pentagonal unit. Unlike a directional strip floor, the eye follows several adjoining axes at once, so the pattern reads as a connected geometric field rather than a row of separate boards. The 335 × 193 mm panel format keeps that geometry legible while allowing the repeat to continue across a larger floor area. Its total thickness is 15 mm.

This is a useful distinction when searching for geometric parquet flooring: the design is neither standard herringbone nor chevron. It belongs to the marquetry parquet category, where accurately cut wood elements form the motif inside each panel and neighbouring panels complete the overall composition.

Four finishes, four different readings of the same geometry

Zeugma is shown in Smooth Walnut, Brushed Walnut, Black Metallic Oak and Cream Oak. Smooth Walnut gives the pattern a more even, composed appearance. Brushing makes the grain more tactile and adds tonal movement. Black Metallic Oak pushes the pentagonal grid towards a stronger architectural statement, while Cream Oak reduces contrast for a quieter floor.

The right choice depends on the intended contrast, the surrounding timber and stone palette, and how strongly the floor should lead the room. Colour should therefore be assessed together with surface treatment, not as an isolated swatch name.
