A large botanical panel designed to be read across the room

Kapadokya develops a broad water-lily leaf motif within a 600 × 600 mm square panel. It is one of the collection’s largest-format botanical patterns, giving each leaf enough space to remain legible from across a room. As the square panels connect, the curved forms create a continuous composition rather than a series of isolated decorative emblems. The total thickness is 15 mm.

The scale is central to the design. A large repeat needs sufficient visible floor area to unfold, and its relationship with walls, islands and fixed furniture should be considered early. Kapadokya is made as marquetry from accurately cut wood elements; it is not a printed floral surface or a standard plank floor with a botanical product name.

Balancing leaf scale with four surface treatments

Brushed Natural Oak gives the large motif a light, tactile reading. Black Oak increases contrast and makes the outline more immediate. Brushed Walnut adds depth together with visible grain movement, while Smooth Walnut creates a calmer and more uniform surface. These options allow the same leaf geometry to range from restrained timber texture to a strong graphic field.

Because the motif is large, finish decisions have an amplified effect over the complete floor. Consider viewing distance, daylight and the position of major furniture. A treatment that appears subtle on one panel may develop considerable presence when repeated across several square metres.

Planning a large-format Kapadokya composition

Provide a dimensioned plan and identify the intended centre, the selected treatment, thresholds, columns and any perimeter border. This makes it possible to assess the 600 mm grid against the actual room rather than after installation decisions have been fixed. Project-specific dimensions, patterns and wood combinations can be evaluated while defining the production and quotation scope.
